"Fear" sites now up and running

Representatives from the "Fear" haunted attractions haven't contacted me yet with additional information on their haunts, however since I last posted, it appears their site is now up and somewhat functional.

Here's a quick blurb from their site:

"The ghosts and goblins of Fear at Frontier are back for another season of haunting and they have added a new location for double the scare. Haunted Rochester, with over 40,000 scare feet of spine-chilling entertainment, is made up of "Fear at Southtown" located in the old Media Play building, and "Fear at Frontier", located at Frontier Field."

"Fear at Southtown" & "Fear at Frontier"

Heard about "Fear at Southtown" for the first time tonight on the news, and the website for both of these haunts isn't very informative at this point. RH will be making an attempt to contact the folks at these two haunts, and we'll get back to you as soon as we know more...

"House of Pain"....website now up and running...

Was checking on the "House of Pain" haunt to see if they had put up an updated website and lo and behold, I found one. You can check out their site HERE and I'm attempting to contact the owner on some more details of this new attraction. Check back to RochesterHalloween for more details...

Powers Farm Market in 2007 *UPDATE*

When we last spoke to you about Powers, it was to tell you we weren't sure about 2007 activities for the farm market. Since our original information release, we received an e-mail from the Powers Farm Market webmaster, after his conversation with Powers Farm Market manager Dan Skelton, stating the following:

"Powers Farm Market will not have the "Haunted Hayride" from years ago, but they will be running the Family Hayrides like the last few years. The Family Hayrides will run on October weekends during the daytime, and possibly weekdays after school. The Teepees are planned to open this weekend (Saturday September 22nd) but their interior will not be fully decorated until a little later. As always the best advice that I can give is to encourage that you call before you come in to make sure that things are running because everything is subject to change in case of weather or emergencies."

Sounds like a lot of fun, and I'm certain our family will be swinging by this year, as always...

"House of Pain" Haunted House

RH has just learned about a new haunt to hit the Rochester area for the 2007 Halloween season...

While we're still trying to confirm the information, we believe House of Pain will be located at 800 E. Main St in the City of Rochester

More to follow as information becomes available....I've placed a link in our link listing (on the right) with the venue's MySpace page, and we're still waiting to hear if they have a regular business website.

No "Nightmare Manor" for 2007???

While visiting the "Nightmare Manor" website today, we found the following:

Nightmare Manor will be returning to Rochester in 2008!

We'll check on this and let you know what we find out, however it would appear this attraction is gone for the 2007 Halloween season....

Powers Farm Market in 2007

The following snippet was added to their site a few days ago:

"The World's Largest Teepees are up at Powers Farm Market! That is a clear sign that Fall is approaching in Rochester. Our traditional orange and ghostly white pumpkins are finding their way to the market's front porch. Inside you will find silver pennies, gourds, winter squash, and more Fall favorites."

One of the biggest attractions at Powers was their Haunted Hayride, however I've been unable to find anything on their site indicating that the hayride will be returning for the Fall '07 season. I have an e-mail into Powers to find out if this event will be going on this year. Regardless, I expect you'll still be able to take your pick of any number of pumpkins from their huge pumpkin patch and walk through the "kid-friendly" haunteed teepees to see all of the beautifully carved jack-o-lanterns.

More to come on this....here's their website FYI

The Halloween season is upon us...

Yes, I know its only the beginning of September and its still wickedly hot outside, but the forecast is showing a cooling trend, and if the leaves falling off the trees in my yard are any indication, the Halloween season is right around the corner.

Keep an eye on this page and check back often as I will be adding alot of content over the course of the next few weeks.

Talk to you in a few.
